A brief history. She is a Cascade 36, hull # 30. My father, Gene Wright purchased the incomplete vessel about 1974. In 1975, he and I (Fred), commissioned her as Kasha in Newport, Oregon. He sailed her out of Newport for a few years before sailing to Anacortes, Washington. In 1985 he decided to give up sailing and gave me the boat. I decommissioned her and had her trucked to Gloucester, Virginia. After an overhaul, I recommissioned her as Skookumlady. Since then I have sailed from Virginia to the Caribbean. Currently just hanging around the fabulous lower Chesapeake bay.
